Majorca offers a wide range of incentives to cycling enthusiasts, both amateur and professional: the Mediterranean climate, its wide variety of landscape, an excellent communication network to any point in Europe, its highly specialized hotel offer …These advantages situate Majorca, not to mention the Balearic Islands in general, as one of the favourite destinations for the practise of this sport, whatever the season.

This year the major novelty of the trial is that the organizational headquarters have been transferred to Playa de Muro. The permanent office will be located in the Hotel Iberostar Playa de Muro, where participants will be able to formalize inscriptions, collect bibs, consult classifications and be transferred to the start/finish of the various stages, to name but a few of the services available.

The Hotel Association of Playa de Muro has a deep commitment to the sport of cycling, something which is reflected in the varied, attractive and highly economical accommodation offer for hotels in the area extended to all participants of the International week. Further information on prices and conditions may be found on their website.

The first trial will begin on Monday 10th October with the XVII European Masters Trophy, inscribed on the UCI calendar; a traditional classic held along the Platja de Palma. Following the rest day, participants will be invited to compete in the Masters Challenge Tour of Majorca, held in three stages from the 13th-15th October, covering the greater part of the islands geography and the beauty of its contrasting landscape.

Finally, the award ceremony will take place during lunch at one of the magnificent hotels situated along the Playa de Muro, location of the 2011 organizational headquarters.
