Rules and Regulations
Participation is exclusively reserved to males of any country in the World in possession of an UCI 2011 Masters licence, issued by the pertinent National Federation, who are insured and fulfil the age requirements stipulated for each of the categories outlined as follows:
SENIOR – MASTER 30 – MASTER 40 – MASTER 50 – MASTER 60.
Important note: Pursuant to UCI regulations, senior category athletes will not be able to participate in the European Masters Trophy. However, as this category is officially registered with the R.F.E.C., athletes of this category may, should they wish to do so, participate in the rest of the trials of which the International Masters Cycling Week is comprised (International Trophy for Masters Palmanova – Magalluf, & Masters Challenge Tour of Majorca).
The XIV International Master Cycling Week will be governed by the regulations in force, for this type of event, of the following Associations: UCI (International Cycling Union), the Royal Spanish Cycling Federation and the Balearic Islands Cycling Federation.
This year and on being a 11,5 km. circuit, cars will be allowed to accompany participants throughout the duration of the XIV European Masters Road Race Cup. Inscriptions will be ratified in the meeting held with the Technical Committee, Organiser, Sports Directors and Participants on Saturday 9th October.
THE USE OF HELMETS IS OBLIGATORY
The trial is covered by Responsibility for Third Part Insurance. The Organization will not be held liable for either theft or loss.
According to article 1.2.052 of the UCI regulations all national, regional and club teams, and their racers will not be allowed to compete abroad unless written consent issued by their respective Federation authorising said participation is presented (teams and racers pertaining to the Organizing Federation are excluded from this clause). Said authorisation should outline the validity of the same and the name of the cyclist(s) to which it applies.
The inscription quota includes medical insurance for each participant, covering up to a total of 600 €. Participants may extend insurance policy coverage by paying a supplement when inscribing in the Permanent Office.
